Getting On The Bandwagon

First, I just want to say that I so love having all of you blogging friends. Support, good advice, friendship --it's wonderful to have this community.

Second, I just watched the first two episodes of season one of Downton Abby (free streaming for Amazon Prime!). Emma was forced to watch them too. She had trouble following it (probably because she was multi-tasking) but I loved it. Even if I do still think of it as Downtown Abby. I always have to correct myself in my head.

And --how is it that Hugh Bonneville and Colin Firth are not related?! They have the same eyes!

  1. I agree with you completely about our online community!

Hugh seems like Colin's big brother. I've been finding so many great British dramas on Netflix. I just finished Call the Midwife.

  2. If you watch DA on DVD, you can turn on the closed captioning and read along with the dialog.

And yes, j'adore our online community.

  3. I have developed a mini-obsession with Downton Abbey. But I'm still on Season 2 - watching a DVD my friend lent me. I am trying to figure out why I like it, and I think I have figured out that it is the wardrobe.

  5. I need to watch it. (No one to see it with makes it hard for me to commit on my own.)

I love our blogging community, and I love you even more for posting a picture of Colin Firth tonight!

  6. I call it Downtown Abby too. We watched the Christmas special and then just jumped right in with season 3. One of these days we'll go back and watch the first two.

  8. Today Lillie and I are hard at work composing our recap of Episode Four--all y'all get caught up so you can read it on Monday. I admit we are losing a little of our initial steam but perhaps it's just because Episode Three was so gloomy. (Karen, you DO have someone to watch it with--US.)

    Free Bates!
