I turned 50 last month and have just skipped my first period. TMI?
Emma has to do a book review Friday in the form of a live commercial in front of the class. She's less than thrilled, and this from a girl who's happy to sing a solo in front of the whole school.
A planned power outage this morning that we didn't get warned about (hadn't updated our phone number) that hit right when Rob needed to shower. He was less than thrilled too.
And most important: According to our new Middle-Schooler everyone else in her class has a phone, and she is lamenting this state of affairs with her usual dramatic flair. This never really ends, does it? From that toy in kindergarten to the phone in middle school. Everyone? Really?
So, other mothers of tween/teens (or not): what's your take on the phone in middle school thing? I don't really have a problem with it, but it might take a significant act of nature to move Rob toward allowing this. What do you all think? I need your mom advice :-)
